Day is a beloved, fully upholstered, shell chair in various configurations, designed by Pierre Sindre. This year brings a new chapter to the popular task chair: a seat and wooden elements are added to the legs and armrests, showcasing Gärsnäs’ wooden craftsmanship, tactility, and warmth — Day Wood. 

“School and conference chairs are traditionally hard, technical chairs, and here we are trying to achieve something much more light and sensual. Day Wood is also about sitting longer, four to six hours, without adding a large lounge seat to the mix. Instead, this is a neat chair with a comfortable, relaxed aesthetic. A small chair, with a sympathetic tactility,” says Pierre Sindre.
