A Gärsnäs friend is returning home. Welcome back, Adam Jismark, our new Sales Manager!
“I’ve actually been longing for it,” says Adam from his home in Tranås, where his travels begin and end. “Gärsnäs is a unique and well-renowned company with wonderful products and a great reputation. It’s in that context and environment that I find inspiration to work.” He has been away since 2018. “That’s when you realize what you had and what you miss.”
It’s not just the products, but perhaps mainly the people that are important for building relationships and trust. “I’m passionate about interacting with people to discuss our great products and meet with architects and distributors.”
Adam grew up in Tranås, where he early on worked in the advertising industry. Through an ad, he got a job in town at Mitab. “I knew nothing about furniture, but it was fun and interesting to work with wood and furniture. It has been my area ever since.”
After his first nine years at Gärsnäs, he started working at Fogia and then at Bebo Objects. Over time, with a pandemic and recession, he began to long for something that felt more stable and familiar. We’re glad Adam wanted to come back. Now he looks forward to rolling up his sleeves and getting down to business. First, he eagerly anticipates visiting the factory again, meeting familiar faces from before as well as new colleagues.
When the workday is done, he relaxes in his Emma armchair, one of the Gärsnäs favourites, designed by Färg & Blanche. Adam also likes Åke Axelsson’s Akustik chair. “I enjoy working with large volumes, and we have Akustik for that.” Light & Easy is another favourite. “It’s probably one of the best wooden chairs on the market.” There you go!
Welcome back, Adam Jismark.
