Åke Axelsson has been made an honorary Doctor of Science by Linköping University. The citation states: “He is honoured for his endeavours in the furniture field as a subject of research and education and for design as a driving force in the development of a sustainable society.”
Åke will hold a brief lecture covering his background, career and the deep ties to Malmsten Furniture Studies at Campus Lidingö.
The lecture is in Linköing on 11 November.
Entrance is free, all are welcome, but seats are limited.
