Available now is the third episode of our greatly appreciated podcast Fika med Gärsnäs, hosted by Stefan Nilsson. He has a cup of coffee and a conversation with Li Pamp, CEO, since the summer, of Stockholms Auktionsverk. She is best known to the general public as a presenter on TV’s Antikdeckarna, Antikmagasinet and as an expert on Antikrundan. Her speciality is 20th-century design, furniture and art, and a huge supporter of reuse in the media landscape. In other words, this is an exciting conversation between two insiders.
“My aim with these podcasts is that listeners should learn something,” says Stefan Nilsson. “In this episode, I want to shed some light on how objects are valued, as well as considerations about provenance. And maybe an extra flirt with interior designers; how to decorate with antiques?”
Furniture reuse has many advantages, not only the environmental and sustainable, but the aesthetical and stylish too. What still captures the eye over time? “It was also interesting to talk about repair work. Is that something for the auction houses? Li’s answer was a definite yes.” This is where Gärsnäs, with its explicit focus on renovating furniture, can be a vital partner in future projects and collaborations.
