Waste Management

We want our furniture to have a lifespan as long as possible. By preserving what we already have, we can, together, reduce the use of natural resources. Therefore, we always recommend repair and renovation, as a first course of action. Please contact customer support for advice and a cost estimate.

Only when wear and tear has left our furniture completely beyond repair should it be deposited at the nearest recycling station. The same applies to any packaging material. Rules and recommendations differ between countries and regions, therefore it is left to each individual user to determine the best way to recycle.

Our furniture is made so that various materials are separable without, in general, needing some special tools for demounting. Below are our normal recommendations for waste management:

Wood & wood-based material
Wood and wood-based material are reusable, recyclable and energy recoverable. Leave at your nearest recycling station.

Plastic, rubber & upholstery material
Plastic, rubber and upholstery material made of plastic are recyclable or energy recoverable. Leave at your nearest recycling station.

Textiles & leather
Textiles and leather are reusable, recyclable and energy recoverable. Leave at your nearest recycling station.

Metal
Metal is recyclable and should be left at your nearest recycling station.

Packaging material
Plastic and cardboard are recyclable or energy recoverable and should be left at your nearest recycling station. Gärsnäs is affiliated with FTI (Förpacknings och Tidningsinsamlingen).
